CC89 Composite Cord Strapping
1" x 1300' (new longer coils) 2700 lb. break strength*, 36 pounds/coil, 2 coils/case, 54 coils/skid, 8" x 7.5" core size, white finish, Composite cord strapping. *Please note "system strength" is different than "break strength". Break strength is measured by an ASTM standard, taking a 6" piece of strapping and pulling it till failure. System strength is a European measure of testing the whole loop including buckle, the "system break strength" is often double the linear "break strength". To make it easier to compare to other strapping, we use the American standard of break strength.
Allstrap Opinion: Many companies are switching out of 1 1/4" steel strapping to this 1" composite cord. Composite has many of the qualities of steel (strength, and rigidity), without the worker safety concern. Cord strap is for manual applications, and can save time (compared to 2-3 tools used with steel strapping).
