DN114HD Battery Powered Steel Strapping Sealer

Golden Bear's newest tool is a battery powered steel strapping sealer.  The DN114HD pairs with the STB tensioner for 1 1/4" steel strapping for .031" or .040" steel strapping.  The beauty of this tool is that it uses a Milwaukee driver (just like the C11 tensioner), which means we trust the motor and driver much more than in the Grip Pack sealer!

The tool is only 7 pounds with the battery.  That makes this tool lighter than pneumatic tools even without the air hose ( RCNS2-114, STP or A461).  This battery sealer is also very nicely balanced.  Compared to an air sealing tool, this battery tool's ergonomics are heaven!  The DN114HD sealer balances very nicely and is unbelievably light!  The light weight makes this tool hold up much better when it is dropped.  Now only about 7 pounds hits on impact, so the drop forces are much less than in the Signode Grip Pack 114 sealer!  

If you use 1 1/4" steel strapping that is above .031" thick, this is the sealer for you.  If you strap is .031" or below thick, use the DN114 standard sealer.  The DN114HD battery sealer is a beefed up version of the DN114.  If you use HD strap, you need this HD sealer.

Allstrap Opinion: This is going to be a great sealer if you use HD 1 1/4" steel strapping!  If the battery combo tools Kodiak (15 lbs.) and BPT-H32 (19.5 lbs.) for steel strapping are too heavy, this is a great option to take the weight down!  We suggest buying the Golden Bear DN114HD battery powered sealer and pairing it with the STB tensioner.  These tools hold up very well, and are incredibly tough.  Do not let a horrible experience with the Grip Pack tools keep you away from battery power!  You just need a tough battery powered tool like the DN114HD sealer!
