Orgapack OR-T 460 Poly Strapping Tool
The Orgapack ORT460 is the newest tool out for 5/8” and 3/4” poly banding. It comes from the Signode/Oragapack facility that has many great tools. This tool replaces the OR-T 450.
The new tool has some small improvements over the OR-T 450, basically the handle has been eliminated. The Siat Viper was the first tool released without a handle, and now the Orgapack 450 is following suit. The handle is replaced by a button. Orgapack still does all this with just 1 motor (the GT Vipor has 2). The number after OR-T indicates how many newtons the tool can pull, so this new tool goes from 4500 newtons to 4600 newtons, or about 600 pounds. We recommend not pulling above 1/3 of the patent strap strength, and this tool has the power to pull all 3/4” poly strapping. The ORT450 has enough power for all 5/8” and 3/4” PET strapping.
We expect this tool to be released in the US Q2 of 2025. Pictures to follow. The OR-T270 is the new tool for 1/2” and 5/8” banding.
Allstrap Opinion: The ORT450 is a great tool, one of our 3 favorite. We expect the ORT460 to be a minor improvement, which means the OR-T 460 should be at the top of your tools to consider.
