Fromm P329S Battery Powered Strapping Tool 

The new P329S banding tool shares most of the mechanical parts with the reliable standard P329.  The "S" version has a touchscreen instead of buttons.  The screen allows the tool to run in manual or automatic.  The manual version has a spot on the screen that looks like the tension button, and a second that looks like the weld button.  Manual mode will stop tensioning when the button is released.  The big advantage is now the tool can run on auto mode.  Hitting the screen one time does everything, no second button push required.  The Fromm P329S can run 5/8" or 3/4" (but is set for just 1 width and thickness).

Allstrap Opinion: There is a debate between pushing on buttons on the P329, or pushing on the screen on the P329S.  The screen gives the advantage of available auto mode, but potentially more delicate than a physical button.  

If you like the screen, then the P329S is one of the best strapping tools. You need it on your packaging line. The single base makes it easier to use, and gives the ability for smaller and round bunks larger then 18" diameter. The single base will make it more resistant to damage when dropped, making this one tough tool. Other tools have a major liability built into the weld cycle, they depend on the operator to wait the couple seconds for the weld to cool. This tool holds the weld till it sets, and the dedicated motor releases for the operator to remove. There is no chance the operator can pull the tool off with a hot weld. Allstrap's tool repair department finds almost 1% of welds are damaged by operators not letting the weld cool properly. That 1% statistic is significant when your regular strapping operator is out, and the temporary replacement sends out packages with non-cooled welds. Now, no matter who's banding, the weld will be 100% every time with the P329S. We suggest you buy this banding tool!
