The EP1400 tensioner is for steel banding up to 3/4", it has unlimited take-up and recommended for use on flat package loads.

Allstrap Opinion:  The EP1400 is too light duty for us.  If you go up to the 1450, it will be a much tougher tool and last way longer.  The T34FRW is stronger, and a great value.
